The Fun and the Sun

So I was looking around the web and I found this and I thought it was fun. Of course I like looking at these websites and dreaming. I would love to live right on the beach and deal with the sun and the surf all day long. Now that is what I would do if I hit the lotto. I mean what else would I do other than travel.

Sun and Fun

So I was lo and I thought it was fun. Of course I like looking at these websites and dreaming. I would love to live right on the beach and deal with the sun and the surf all day long. Now that is what I would do if I hit the lotto. I mean what else would I do other than travel.

No kidding

"In a letter sent to President Obama and members of Congress, former members and staff of the Church Committee on Intelligence said that the revelations of the NSA activities have caused 'a crisis of public confidence' and encouraged the formation of a new committee to undertake 'significant and public reexamination of intelligence community practices.' In the letter sent Monday to Obama and Congress, several former advisers to and members of the Church committee, including the former chief counsel, said that the current situation involving the NSA bears striking resemblances to the one in 1975 and that the scope of what the NSA is doing today is orders of magnitude larger than what was happening nearly 40 years ago.

'The need for another thorough, independent, and public congressional investigation of intelligence activity practices that affect the rights of Americans is apparent. There is a crisis of public confidence. Misleading statements by agency officials to Congress, the courts, and the public have undermined public trust in the intelligence community and in the capacity for the branches of government to provide meaningful oversight,' the letter says."

The Blue

I was just watching how I met your mother. And I was thinking about the blue affordable single trigger bass trombones at guitar center that he stole off the wall for Robin. Well then I realized it was a tuba well no. A french horn? MAybe. But then his wife is the bass player in a band so I may be confused.

But then who knows.

Well I hope you have a good day.

Sigh

Dea "CJ Ciaramella stumbled upon some recently interesting documents with a recent FOIA request: The DEA's training materials regarding parallel construction, the practice of reverse engineering the evidence chain to keep how the government actually knows something happened away from prosecutors, the defense, and the public. 'Americans don't like it,' the materials note, when the government relies heavily on classified sources, so agents are encouraged to find ways to get the same information through tactics like 'routine' traffic stops that coincidentally find the information agents are after. Public blowback, along with greater criminal awareness, are cited among the reasons for keeping the actual methodologies beyond the reach of even the prosecutors working with the DEA on the cases."

Making Music Better

So I went to a bar the other night and some guy was playing music. He was okay however he had a really awesome with the vintage sound. SO after listening I buying a round or two I asked if I could play and played one of my songs that has been sold to someone you know. I have to confess it made my song sound even better. So guess where I am heading when my next royalty check comes in.

 hehehehehehehe.

 Have a great day.

Smaug

"The climate of Middle Earth has recently been under the spotlight, with the current and future climate of Middle Earth simulated using the HadCM3L General Circulation Model. However, to the best of our knowledge, there has been little work investigating the historical carbon emissions of Middle Earth. Specifically, what impact has the demise of dragons had on carbon emissions? To shed some light on this question, we start by considering the carbon footprint of the antagonist, Smaug."Smaug is surprisingly environmentally friendly.

Good news for bloggers

"Reuters reports, 'A blogger is entitled to the same free speech protections as a traditional journalist and cannot be liable for defamation unless she acted negligently, a federal appeals court ruled on Friday. Crystal Cox lost a defamation trial in 2011over a blog post she wrote accusing a bankruptcy trustee and Obsidian Finance Group of tax fraud. A lower court judge had found that Obsidian did not have to prove that Cox acted negligently because Cox failed to submit evidence of her status as a journalist. But in the ruling, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco said Cox deserved a new trial, regardless of the fact that she is not a traditional reporter. "As the Supreme Court has accurately warned, a First Amendment distinction between the institutional press and other speakers is unworkable."... Eugene Volokh, [a] Law professor who represented Cox, said Obsidian would now have to show that Cox had actual knowledge that her post was false when she published it. ... "In this day and age, with so much important stuff produced by people who are not professionals, it's harder than ever to decide who is a member of the institutional press."'
