Bad Songs

Delta faucets, what’s that water you’ve got on?
Could it be waste of day gone by?
And did I hear you say,
He’ll be usin you today, at his mansion in the sky.

Okay sorry rather lame fake lyrics. I would like to say that it is lame and kind of funny. I like making many fake lyrics just to have fun and use plays on word.

Well I hope that you have a good Christmas and a good day.

Stoves

I need to make some of the food I make better. One of the hard things I have had, is a problem with the heat and the stove. I finally had to place some humidifiers in the room to help compensate for more heat.

I really get sick of all the heat and the lack of humidity. The skin dreies out and now I am wondering about how this would affect turkies.

Have a happy day.

Having fun

One of the fun things about going to a hotel in Vegas is all the choices for eating. Last time I was there, there was a really great buffet.

I am always amazed at hos much fun there can be. Lots of crab and other good food. I remember there being steak and other items. mmmmm that was some serious good food. Already I am looking at going back. That time should be soon.

Have a happy day.

A Watch

I was at dinner with some fiends recently. My friend pulled out his new Panerai watch. I pulled out my old USSR Admiral's watch.

Sure I have to wind it. I have to set it. I really like my watch as it has some style. Anyone can have a watch, I have style. Sure I forget to wind it every so often. But still it is a great watch.

I hope you have a happy day.

Reading in quiet

I like finding a good coffee house. And then spend many hours sitting reading and writing. This one has Saeco items. You can read my reviews on Mitchell SD Reviews.

There are many things I want in a coffee house including free wifi and a good place to read a book. Of course if I can get a Kindle and do some good reading. I am hoping the Kindle will fill in the gaps even with lack of PDF support.

Have a happy day.

Thoughts on eating

I am amazed at how food affects people. Recently, a student complained of not having food, aka breakfast. This lead to the student aquiring migraine headache.

Now, if a student knows they will get a headache without eating . . . why do the not eat.

To be honest I am not sure. It just seems one bad choice after another. So . . . if you are a student you really need to take care of what you know you should do.

Cookies

Houses for sale, condos for sale, cars for sale. Grrr. I am sick of looking.

The only good thing is that I get to go out to eat. The only thing better then that is cookies. Not the garbage ones you puchase. But the ones that are fresh and taste ever so good.

The only thing that is redemming about this time of year is cookies.

I enjoy sitting back, reading a book and eating cookies.

Have a happy day.

Seven Sins

Time to go out to and see the Ogio. We found out a nice small place that serves some seriously good pie.

The place had a great and wonderful and killer seven sins of cholocalte. People thought that it was years worth of calories. I only had a little bit. Other people said they were gaining weight just by looking at the cake.

I love these kinds of places and how much they are. This place was quite resonable.

Looking Up at the Smallness

Last Halloween I saw a point that I was rather amazed at. A woman wore a Scarlett dress with a really tight corsets and she could not sit from the dress. I was rather amazed at what she did and even the fact that she did it.

After talking with her husband, he was amazed at it also. He of course was Rhett. And of course they won the prize for best costume.

Have a happy day

Medieval Food

I went to Medieval Times in California and I was recently remedied of it. This was one of one of my first experiences with show theater and food. I loved the DERP of the knights and the horses.

That is one of the best places to really enjoy a good show and fun eating. I would encourage anyone who is near Knotts or Disnyland to go and eat.

Have a happy day.

Taxi Plans

Recently going out to eat . . . at a small place (aka Mc D place) a woman was wearing diamond pendants.

My kids noticed how dressed to the nines this woman was. I was rather shocked at how this woman was dressed. Not that I was offended.

Have a happy day.

Formal Dining

I have all the party invitations written and mailed. Alas they arrived and the formal dinner will be on Saturday. I am inviting a number of people to a formal dinner. I am hoping that they will be stunned by the menu.

I shall reveal the menu latter this week.

Needless to say it will be several courses long. And will be done by candlelight.

Have a happy day.

Kinda Cool

When eating outdoors it gets rather cool or rather warm depeding on the season. One thing I have noticed is that outdoor lighting realy makes the place. There sees to be coralation between bugs and niceness.

I really like all the things that happen while eating outdoors. My favorite place to eat outside was Paris, France. Not in Paris, MN.

Have a happy day.

Table Clothes

One of the bad things with living in rural America: there is very few places with long table clothes where you can where pearl necklace and wear really nice clothes.

I do miss some $50 a plate places. I have had so much fun going to those places.

Have a most happy day.

More on Food

Food is always an odd thing. Most people like eating esp. within the area of going out to eat. I know that many people like to have diet pills rather then not eat.

In the movie AI there was a really odd robot that would eat extra food from the persons body allowing the people to eat all they wanted. And never gather and once of weight. I have to confess that it does sound like a good idea.

Have a most happy day.

Too Many

I know this is a little off-topic. However, I am not thrilled with this past baseball season. Barry Bonds, I know that is a sore subject with many people, and his home run jucing and dope fiend homerun should be stricken from the books.

I have a good idea. In his food he needs to have progesterone added to his food and needs to hit another 50 homers to bream the record. This would be a good thing and help the baseball world.

Have a happy day.

Looking Forward

While Van Halen tour are still in abundance, I am looking for somewhere fun to go. I found some good food ala china in Mitchell, SD.

There are many places to eat and this is one that I like. I have been there twice and each time has been enjoyable. I look forward to going back soon and very soon.

Have a happy day.

Flying Around

Recently I flew and again experianced some Airline food. Okay let's be real here . . . airline food has taken a hit over many years. I think many people would rather fly by RC helicopters then fly in commerical jets.

The food has gone downhill from what it was. I think I was given a turkey neck and some giblets. And that would be if I was lucky.

Have a happy day.

Discolsure Policy.

Well not to sure where to place this. However, I sometimes get paid to place links inside my blogs. Just because there is a link does not mean I approve of the items, endorse the item, or let's be real . . . even like the item.

I also get some beer from google and other ad insertions.

I would apolgize for doing it, however, I do need pizza money and other fun things in life.

Kids Eating

I know that many people will be caring babies in baby sling will going out to eat. There are of course strollers and other carrying devices.

Now I have to confess, I am not fond of small kids crying while I am trying to eat. It is not the smallest kids. It is the older kids who whine and complain. I like to eat in relative calm and quiet. It is rather annoying to listen to them whine.

Have a happy Day

Tailgates

Tailgating is always fun and tailgating in Knoxville, TN for Tennessee football is even better.

For those who have never been to Knoxville on football Friday/Saturday it is an event which must be experienced.

Football is really good especially in Knoxville.

Have a happy day and GO VOLS!

Another Place to Eat

I know that one fun place to eat are casinos. In South Dakota there is not a Excalibur Las Vegas hotel.

However, there is lots of cheap casinos to eat at in South Dakota. Prime Rib as low as $6.49. I really like many of these low prices and would like to eat at them more often. The problem is that the closet one is about an hour away.

Have a happy day.

The outside

The other day while I was out eating they had some marvelous landscape lighting that helped with the total ambiance. I have often said that lighting makes such a difference in life.

I am thinking, I would like to change my own outside lighting within the outside. My tables are really nice however with the lighting I would also need to add in bug lighting to kill all kinds of horrid bugs that we have here.

A new Table

On the way to airport, I decided that I needed to have some new conference tables to eat on. I like these tables as they are quite large and can serve many people.

Whereas most dining tables are to small and usually not well built. I use table clothes all the time so it does not matter.

Alas I do need to travel.

Have a happy day.

A Trip

I was getting my luggage sets ready for my big trip to Paris. I have to confess that I am really motivated to go to Paris after watching a silly movie about a mouse.

Alas I need to go and enjoy Paris. I was there in 1984 and enjoyed Paris to no end. My favorite place to eat was this Greek section wehre you could have all kinds of fun, like throwing dishes.

Food and Dates

I spend to much time paying attention to food while at the table. I need to pay attention to the date's jewelry. Maybe it would help me get lucky and do better.

In any case, I do have a problem with doing things well. I like the food and I like the company. So I need to spend some time with the company that I am with.

Have a most happy day.

Stove

My home, while I like my kitchen, has some serious issues. I spend so much time on the road that I have little time to do much else. As an example, my cabinet hardware has fallen off in places.

In any case, I am after a new stove that is on the high tech end. I was amazed at some of the prices of stoves. I have only visited one place and need a few more prices. I will keep my readers informed.

Have a happy day.

Alert, Red Alert

I have always wondered about when you go into a greasy spoon and someone orders the daily special without any clue. Now, I have to confess that my radar detector goes off.

IS this food this good? IS there that much trust in the special of the day.

Alas, my answer is usually a no. Last time I did the ordering that way, I ended up with the bends for a few days.

So have a happy day.

Salt and Fat

Dr. Dean Edel meantions that we as people like salt and fat. To the point of why would we eat out without salt or fat. However, the problem for myself and many others is that really fatty items can cause a colon cleanse or a colon blow.

SO while looking at fatty foods remember to keep the actual amount of fat down to a resonable level.

randum thoughts on food

I remember watching Sec in the City which was, in my mind, a half way decent show. Of course they ran all over New York City with shots and stuff. As I recall on of the charachters finaly lived in the wholesale clothing district, if I remember correctly.

And got upset when a trendy restaraunt came there. Of course with trendy comes trendy food which is not always good. Though unique.

Have a happy day.

Finding Dough

There are many christmas gift ideas out there. My personal favorite is to give gift certificates for some place that is fun to eat at. The biggest problem is that the cost that is involved. If you give out many of these cards to people the cost is high.

However, to little can be seen as to cheap. So try not to be cheap. Have a good day.

Tuesday, August 28, 2007

The Table

I find it odd when I go into a place and there is home furniture all around. Places like Applebee's tries to make life more pleasent and homy enviroment with all the stuff. But does that mean I want a basic mostly uncomfterable chair. I think not.

I like a solid table that sits well and is of the correct level. I usually do like a table that can be moved back and forth.

Have a happy day

A new sauce

I have taken a new liking to making my own Teryaki Chicken. IT is a reciepie or a sauce I found while on an Orlando vacations spot.

My secrect sauce is called Soy-Vey. Now to be blunt the name caught my attention. This is one of the best sauces I have had. I use my rotiessire grill and cook the chiken.

In a pan I heat up the Soy-Vey. Then I dump in the chicken. Stir for about 10 minutes and viola. It is complete.

The Exterior

Kinda of thing going on these days. With all the advertising for steel buildings that is going on, many restaurants in the area that are going up are using them.

Inside they look great, just as any other building. Outside: they look as well as the money they place into the exterior. Personally, I would rather have a small older store front restaurant.

I still prefer places that have character. If a steel building can have character then it is fine.

Have a happy day.

Ka-Bamm

When walking into the room the other day I had a major embarressment. You know the type. Where you want to hide your face for days on end. I tripped on the rug. There was just a little bump on a map and my Air Jordan shoes hit the bump and bammmmmm.
javascript:void(0)
I went down into a server who had a full tray of fresh food. The food went everywhere and I just about died.

So still try to have a happy day.

Table Drawing

I am always amazed at how restaurants try to keep people there and entertained.

I like the ones where you can draw on the table. One of my favorite places was in Knoxville, TN. They would hang some of the drawings on the wall. The problem is of course . . . the amount of drawings that were to be had.

Others have had a jigsaw puzzle at the table. That was more difficult as I did not have time to finish.

Have a happy day.

Lobsters

One of the odd things when you go to a seafood place. Not that you see food and eat it. But when you go and there are lobsters in the tank.

What does it really mean to pick out your own meal. Sure the lobsters are in there stuffed like some bunk beds on top of each other. But still . . . what does it say about us as people.

I can see it now .

A name tag on a lobster and his employee number.

An Oppertunity Choice

The question came up recently about going to a good restaraunt or having some free def leppard concert tickets. Well needless to say . . . I choose the food. While I am not a huge fan of def lepp, I did enjoy them many years ago in high school. I am not sure my ears can take the noise.

Have a happy day.

China in America

I recently went into a chinesse restraunt in Mnakato. First, I did not like the food at all. The food was to much American. The inside was nice.

There was a fish pond. Inside there were many kois in the pond. there were also plenty of silk trees all over.

For the atmosphere the place rated a 10. For food it was a 4. For value about a 4 also.

have a good day.

Small Towns and food

One of the things I have learned. Trying to find really good food in a small town is quite difficult. For example, it is easier to find drug rehab then good food in small towns.

When I say good food, I mean something beyond a good steak. You know something that is actually prepared with a fragrant blend of spices. Something that begs for more. Something that smells wonderful.

So instead I am usually stuck at home with something that I have to whip up.

Have a happy day.

A Robot Diet Aid

I went out to eat and had a great time. I have to admit it would be nice to have a diet patch that would allow me to less and save money.

Since saving money is the goal I would like to be able to eat less and therefore get more value for the money. In the movie AI the first robot that looked really good would take food and fat so that a person could eat and not get fat.

Have a happy day.

Wednesday, July 18, 2007

looking at stuff

When looking at the equipment in a restaurant . . . one needs to be sure of the correct items. As an example, one needs to consider kids curtains or more important kid proof curtains.

The chairs also need to be comfortable and need to likewise be kid proof. Some kids can destroy a restaurant faster then rats.

In any case have a most happy day.

Tuesday, July 17, 2007

Good and Sports

When out on the golf course, I amazed at the kids who are out there not only with the Ping Golf and they also have lots of food.

I am always shocked at how much food and sports go togther. When can one goto the ball park and not have a hot dog or peanuts. Of course with all the peanut allergies going on . . . not so much any more.
Have a happy day

More on Food

I was like going to differing eateries that are smaller and usually what we would call a private label. There are many newspapers, school loan consolidation ads, and toothpicks.

In the town I am living there is a really good one. They have the most wonderful sandwiches and onion rings.

So never overlook the simple things.

Baseball Beds

When looking at the Boston team of Baseball I wonder if the yankess stay at a Massachusetts bed and breakfast when they are there.

I would imaagine that the yankess get what ever they want. When they want and how they want. I wonder how much something like that costs the yankess. I wonder if the players like hard beds or soft beds. Does the bed really make a differnce for hitters.

MY Kitty Cat

Bad news. My cat needed a Hair Transplant so I did not know what to know. We have a really good Chinese restaurant down the street and round the corner from us. The owner said she would love our cat. Well my cat went in and well. She had some issues with playing with food.

And well I just wrote this to be funny. I did not take my cat to the Chinese restaurant.

Tuesday, June 26, 2007

More thoughts on that

When putting on a restaurant one needs to have as many marketing items as needed. I have always liked marketing pens as a way of promotion.

the nice thing about them is that they go around and around and around. Hopefully they will move to many differing people and provide much in the way of marketing.

Have a most happy day.

Another Day

Today at the eating area they had to install some IBM memory so the computer will run right.

The new upgrades are taking so much extra, that I had to pop for ram. Would be nice to have prices go do. Or an upgrade be easy.

Still it is part of doing business.

Well have a most happy day.

Monday, June 25, 2007

The Count

Now a place where one goes has some serious fixed asset accounting needs. I know when I was in the service, that we would have ccounting and every single thing had to be accounted for. There were reams of dead trees hanging around in giant folders. All saying count me!

Have a most happy day.

Fond Memories

One time while staying a Condo Hotels in California, I went to a restraunt that is now defeunct.

You may recall Maxwells that was next to the pier. This place has some nice mmeories. I first had the popovers there at a brunch. It is also the place I proposed. That was an odd experiance.

just as I popped the question the waitress came up and I dropped the ring.

Well maybe I should forget that one.

Have a good day.

Lobsters

How do you get lobsters in to the transfer tank at a restraunt. I was thinking that is not a job I would want.

Imagine all the lobsters begging to put you in there. I just do not think it would be fun.

I am not really into picking out my food before eating. I like the idea that we have anonymous relationship. The thought of naming your food is a little gross.

Friday, June 22, 2007

An Observation

One of the odd things about the restaurant biz is that it is a regular business. Yet we never see the telecom audit going on or the accounting or all the little parts of day to day operations.

When you think about it, a good restaurant is like a little trip to Fantasy Island. We have people waiting on you hand and foot. the world out there is forgotten, no work just luxury

I just thought that was a weird observation.

Thursday, June 21, 2007

More Food

So there I am in something like a Disney vacation home thinking about food.

So what else is new. There are simple places that are nice to eat at. Like country kitchen. This is a place that is usually good and simple.

There are so many times when simple is good. Let's be real one cannot eat at a fancy retraunt every single day. Though I would like to give that a try.

The expense would just kill me. Way to much money.

Have a happy day.

Bad Customers

As I write this I am eating at small diner.

The family, okay grandparents and grandkids, should be shipped to some Las Vegas Real Estate and out of here. I am a little put out.

It has been awhile since I heard someone this mean. I really want to slap him. I feel really bad for the kids. I see the sadness in the faces.

If you are a mean person please do not eat out. It ruins my dinner. And I like to eat out not listen to you get upset for no reason.

So please.

A Great Laugh

I was eating at a restaraunt recently in South dakota on i-90. I saw the funniest sign.

A person who was selling Funeral Insurance was advertising on bench in front of the restaraunt. I am not to sure what this means. But it was funny.

As I ate, I could not stop thinking about it. And looking at the food. The good news is that I am still alive at this point.

I am sure it is just a cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

(note from ER staff: He's dead Jim)

Have a happy day

More Food

One I item I have noticed is that eating out of the home today seems to require a payday loan just to pay for the bill. We went to a decent steakhouse last week and . . . OMG (gosh) the prices were outragoues.

How can they afford this highway robbery. Well it really is isn't as I am going out of my own free will and I could go somewhere else, but still. The price were way to high. I do not know why the sticker shock hit me. But it did.

Whatever, ever happened to good food at a reasonable price? Where you could feed a family well for $30. I am not sure . . . I think those days are gone like the wind.

Fish Fry Anyone

you know what else is great about summer? fishing. There is nothing like grabbing the old fishing tackle and mosey down to the river and lake and start fishing.

The best part comes in the evening though. Just as the minnesota state bird comes out for dinner, cooking your fish over an open fire. Any person can take the fish back home and start frying them.

Frying the fish over the open fire while camping is always a good thing.

Have a good day.

For FUn

I am thing about going online to buy world series tickets. Why would I do that? Simple the while area lights up with fans and food. If you want great food and fun . . . take yourself and your car with kids and dogs and go to a major sporting event. There is nothing like having some fun at a super sporting event.

Well maybe there are some things that come to mind. However, nothing that you can do with your clothes on.

In any case, have a most happy day. And keep those shirts on in 20 degree weather.

Steaks

I like going on vacations and going out to eat. In and around some of the Orlando vacation home rental, there are many places to eat.

I love to go out and have good italian food. Then there are steak houses. Here in Minnesota we have a place called Timber Lodge Steakhouse.

This place is really good and serves prime rib that is to croak for. We are going back there next week.

Friday, May 18, 2007

Reading Out

One of my favorite things to do is go to a place and read, do computer work, write or more. I have often wondered what goes through the server's mind when I show up. I mean it looks like I am setting up camp. I have a book, computers and even ink pens, to write with. I guess the bad part would be is that I am not a great tipper.

For that I feel bad . . . of course I usually try to go after the lunch hour when there is not a great turnover of people. Still I demand my ice tea.

Another Wannabe

I always like eating out . . . as do most people. I recently had a really good steak at a local steak 'wannabe' steakhouse. This was a nice place and it is a wannabe like Applebees is a wannabe. To many other things and not enough choices of real steak. I know that whines a little.

I will say the thing that is best about this type of place is when they bring you the tab and some ink pens the price is no to high.

Spiderman = no plot

I think the makers of Spiderman went a little over the top and really should have thought of having some Tenuate. The movie was really pretty bad. I mean they tried to hard. Way to many bad guys. The sandman was really dumb. I am not very happy with whole thing.

The only thing that Spiderman was missing is a plot. I mean the absence of any semblance of plot was really disappointing.

At the end of the movie spider dude lets a bad man go. What is this about? Not to mention the whole thing with Spiddie jumping in front of an American Flag. Nice picture but a little unrealistic.

The bottom line: a plot would have been nice.

Variation on a Theme, please

I always like when I go to a restaurant and there is a good theme going on. Living in Minnesota we get a lot of lodge themed places. Kinda boring.

There is still a polish place in the twin cities I want to check out. I would like a good french where it seems like a french cafe. Or a good old Italian that reminds me of a Tuscany Villas or the main plaza in Rome. I would like a good Greek themed eating establishment. I am sick of the lodges. I mean how many roadhouses and lodges do I really want to eat at?

Caught

As it appears the british navy needs some yard markers for thier boats some real questions come to mind.

Why did these chaps give up the fight so quick. I understand that there may have been problems. Call in support? I am sure planes and warship were nearby.

The next problem is why did they start singing like canaries so quickly? All of sudden they were on TV telling all kinds of things. Why did they break so fast. I did not see anything of torture. I mean no hint of torture. I mean come now chaps all least take a branding iron for the queen. Maybe this type of training is not given anymore. I mean give some type of signal while on TV.

I was thinking that while the one troop was pointing to a map they could be signing something. Of course that would assume they know some basic sign language.

Overall, not a good two weeks for queen and country.

Eating Out

Going out to eat is much different these days. So many places have WiFi spots, so a person can get on an old laptop and surf the web while eating. I have worked on papers and things while eating. I have managed to purchase things on ebay while eating. I have purchased items like books, computer memory, and even grocery shopping.

I usually only do laptop stuff while eating alone. One of those little things that happen when I am traveling and I am by myself. Maybe I should eat with friends more often.

Passover

Monday night starts Passover.

This time of the year is a period that I really look forward to.

There are so many foods that we get only one time a year.

Of course, by the time it ends . . . I get so sick of Matzah.

Well have a good day people.

Next year in Jerusalem.

Finding That Good Place

Whenever you are looking at a restaurant we need to look at some market research. Does the restaurant have a good reputation. Do you want to eat somewhere that is good? Ask a friend. Look for those outside restaurants that are seldom traveled.

The best restaurants are really the small hole in the walls that are the best. I am really sick of the chain restaurants. How many Olive Gardens can there be? One steak place us about the same as every other.

A new pup

We just obtained a new puppy. What a pain in the neck. Okay she is cute and fun. All the kids want to hold her. However, one seems as if you cannot just get away with having just a puppy. You have to buy pet food, dog permits, then there are the pet supplies. The pup really love this small squaky toy.

Look at this you can spend a pile of money of buying more stuff. The puppy does sleep in a box and has an old blanket. She really like the box and is a pop up target.

Fly in soup

I was at a restraint the other day and I saw a funny thing. This woman decided to take out her Makeup Mirrors and then she was distracted and dropped her mirror in the soup. This is of course funny. However, she did a better number and knocked the soup bowl on her lap. This was just like a bad television show. People came running to help. Just like a TV comedy.

Well in any case it was a good steak dinner, with clam chowder.

New Chinese Restaurant

I went to a new Chinese restaurant today. Not to bad. It is by the ellijay real estate in town. The kinda cool news is that there is an open wi-fi spot where you can surf. I did have my computer with me cause we needed some information.

They have this Singapore Chicken which is really really good. I greatly enjoyed this little delight . The spice was just right and it was crunchy. If you get the chance make sure you try some of this chicken.

Other than that it was an okay Chinese buffet. The price was good at $7.49 for a Sunday Buffet.

An Iran War?

I am going to depart from my usual fair.

I have been watching what is going on in Washington DC with the USG (United States Government). It appears that Bush has had one to many Energy Pills. Bush seems to be feeling his oats are getting larger by the minute.

Bush is appearing to desire to invade Iran. Will this actually take place? I am not sure. Her highness the Lady Clinton has proclaimed that Bush must seek authority from Congress.

Am I missing something or did Lady Hilary forget the Constitution. Under the War Powers Act the President make commit troops for 90 days. At the 90 day mark Congress needs to approve for any longer period, ie 91 days.

This sets an odd position. What would Congress do if Bush says the 2002 "Iraq War Resolution" also applies to Iran. First the good news:

"The president is authorized to use the armed forces of the United States as he determines to be necessary and appropriate in order to (1) defend the national security of the United States against the continuing threat posed by Iraq, and (2) enforce all relevant United Nation Security Council resolutions regarding Iraq."

I do not think that the President will have a legal leg to stand on. There is a limit here on Iraq.

Now the President does have the War Powers Act and can act unilaterally as Commander in Chief of the American Military. Yes, Congress would be upset. Yes, they would pass bills to and the non-binding resolution would happen. However, Congress is unable to do anything of real importance.

The question always comes to day 91.

Here are the day 91 options:
1. Bush tries to claim the Iraq War thing gives him the power. It does not. Congress will take him to the Supreme Court and the Court will tell him to bring home the troops as he has exceeded the 90 days. I expect the President to resist.

2. Also taking place on day 91. Impeachment. If this happens . . . impeachment will happen. Without question. I would expect the House to move quickly and will most likely happen at the first minute of the 91st. There will be a very short time between the charges and the actual trial. There will be a short trial and Bush will be the first President to be removed from office through the impeachment process.

Day 92. Cheney will be sworn into office and ordered to bring home the troops. I would expect that there will be an argument for new president a new 90 days. If by day 93 then an impeachment against Cheney.

If this happens, I will expect the Congress to move quickly.
This could lead to Polisi in the white house.

I would wonder can this work? Will our government actually work according to the what the writers had wanted?

A New Desert

Today being Valentines day, the day for love and for eating out, I had new dessert. This dessert was called the celtic cross. It is a mint pie in the shape of a celtic cross.

Okay, so this was a ton o' work and cost a pile o' money. Still this is one of the best looking and tasting desserts I have had. There was chocolate, mint, cream, and more chocolate. This was to die for.

If you would like to know where I had this in the Twin Cities write me. I will let you know. And you can have your piece of the cross and end up in heaven.

Eating Out For Real

Looking back and seeing how things have changed, I wonder how they will change.

Example, margarine was once considered the greatest thing for sliced bread. My mom bought it like crazy. Now I learn that you may as well as melt tupperware and use that as butter. Margarine is only one molecule away from plastic. . . so say yummy.

With the amount of Diet Supplements supplements out there, I wonder will food take a whole new dimension. Will we learn to eat fully for pleasure and the enjoyment of others? We go to fancy restaurants not because the food is great, but because of who we are with.

Happy Valentines Day.

Lunchtime Dining and Really Good Food

While I always like dining out at nice restaurant I always seem to love going for lunch. Lunch is a great time. You get the same good food AND it costs less. Now while this usually applies to places where you can drop your professional business cards into the hat for a free lunch. This also applies to some of the finer dining places where you live.

IF you want to eat some really good food call up your favorite upscale restaurant and see if they do lunch. I just ate at the most exquisite French place. They are open one day a week for reduced lunches, just so they can properly train their staff in proper meal etiquette.

One little pointer here. Make sure you have more than an hour for lunch. If you are on a strict time schedule, you may not finish. Also do not eat there on the same day as an important meeting . . . you may not stay awake.

A Cake Design

Recently I was thinking what would be a fun cake to make. I have made trucks, cars, monsters, skateboards, butterflies, and many many other items. So my good friend is retiring from the post office . . . and what to make for the party.

I thought of stamps. However, stamps are on the way out. I thought of an envelope. Not all mail envelopes.

Then I had the flash of insight. Mailboxes! all lined up in a row just like his rural route. So now the question is should I make them tall to impress people. Or make them flat for easy cutting and serving.

Well I am thinking of trying out both. One to impress and one for eating. The really good news. Noone seems to have done this yet.

Free Food

I was out at a restaurant the other day . . . you know one of the ta-ta type of places. Really good food. I left my name and address . . . somehow . . . and I was picked to win a dinner. They sent me one of those really nice printable greeting cards that announced my win.

I never seem to win anything. Maybe I should play the lottery again since it is at 200+ million dollars. Then I would not have to worry about winning a free dinner. Then my wife could be a good Jewish wife and never have to cook again.

Ethnic Food Has Survived

One of the great catholic gifts out there is the gift of the polish pierogi. I mean this is a great food that is quite yummy. I like the dough. I like the filling. I like the butter. I like the taste. I hate the calories.

There are many recipes out there for pierogis. So why do I consider it a gift from the catholic church. Well the RCC managed to keep families together for awhile and kept the tradition of food alive. There are many other ethnic foods that we can be thankful for, that have not died a horrid death in the American Melting Pot.

Find a recipe here at google

Setting up the house

One of the things that I do enjoy in life is a freshly painted kitchen. Painting costs are sometimes difficult to estimate. One of the main costs is the paint. When we paint any room I always try to purchase the best paints. When you look at paints we can see a number of differing types of quality, esp. when it comes to cleaning up from an accidental mess. Of course when I make a mess that will hit the walls, it is usually something really messy.

sticking thinks

Well, today in the mail I received a batch of return address labels from my college. So what am I supposed to do these. I have to confess that I am thrilled with my past college called, JBC.

Why should I use these? I am not to sure. I really do not want to give free advertising to jbc esp. when I think I was rooked by them. So what would have been useful? Labels with fruit on them. Something else that I would like to use, maybe I should just order them. I do like the labels and use them all the time.

So what was that number . . .

Lunchtime Blues

One of the things that I do not like about the new year is everyone goes on a diet. So nobody wants to eat out at lunch . . . sigh. You would think that with all the Diet Pills out there we could eat and still lose weight.

Of course that diet robot eating in your tummy from AI (the movie not the book) would be really cool. Eat what you want and lose weight.

Well tommarrow is Friday, hopefully the guys will be ready to go out to eat.

the Right Stuff

Getting the best food delivered to the table is hard thing. We have work and the right set of ingredients. If an ingredient is not quite right or to old the taste or flavor of meal can be changed in substantial ways. People try to get to the best in many things, yet they can fail.

I had a friend in real estate. I thought that he could get to the Apex NC Real Estate and make vast some of money. As it turns out, he made some money. His problem was not having the right ingredients. As it turns out you have to have a good personality, the right clothes, business sense, a will to fight and bargain, and lots of luck. So remember good food needs the right stuff just like we do in life.

Flood Placement

Dogs and tables. Okay, we have a big red dog. When I have prepared a really nice mealtime dog comes and visit. Let's be real . . . the dog comes when there is food. Does not really matter good food or bad the dog does not care.

So the dog is tall enough to like a plate on the table. She will eat food most anywhere she can. She will eat it on the rug. She will eat on the chairs or couch. However, when food is placed in the Emily crib she will not touch it. That is a good thing.

Dilbert Live

Well, it looks like I can do some business card printing and be the consultant. The funny thing is that I ran into someone when getting my coffee and I said I was consultant. He wanted a card. How odd people are willing to accept me as a consultant. And how odd all I need is a business card. Maybe I should go write for the New York Times. Now, all I have to do is read more Dilbert and learn from Dogbert’s example of how to be a consultant.

Let’s see over charging and abusing people. Sounds good to me.

Thursday, January 11, 2007

Grrrr.

Okay, I have to rant for a brief moment in time.

It happened today. Dilbert came to life. I run into enough consultants, however, I seldom run into one that I really know something about. Computers and networks I know. So this person comes to my door and proffers a card with his name and title of computer consultant. Okay, so we talk and this person knows so little about computers I want to barf. He took one course and thought he was a consultant.

So this is what it takes to be a consultants. I must design some business cards with my name and Consultant as the title, and bamm money starts happening. Uhm, I think not.

So maybe on Tuesday I will be a food consultant.
